ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

'Cultural Heritage in YOUth' its a project which bring together 42 participants from 7 countries Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Italy,Spain, Poland and Cyprus. The youth exchange ''Cultural Heritage in YOUth" will address the topics of social inclusion and anti- discrimination as well as entrepreneurship and fight of unemployment through the Cultural Heritage. This being the main theme of our project reflects the needs of multiple European societies since all of them, due to different reasons, face social exclusion and unemployment. It will aim to develop among participants active expression of civic participation which will strengthen common European values such as solidarity, openness, understanding and liberty for combating poverty and marginalization through and in volunteering.


''Cultural Heritage in YOUth'' will be held in Nicosia district, Cyprus from 24th of August until 2nd of September 2018, (arrival day 23/08, departure day 2/9/18). Through using non formal learning methods such as workshops, discussions, role plays, campaigns, simulation games and forum theatre it will provide to participants the competencies, skills and knowledge about poverty, marginalization, sustainable peace, human rights, anti discrimination policies and social cohesion in order for them to take actions as multipliers for greater social and community involvement in the framework of Erasmus+ Programme.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
-To bring young people closer to nature, cultural traditions. To get to know for their own and other European countries their cultural heritage
and how they can keep it alive and deliver it to the new generations.
- to increase innovation, research and development
- to inspire youth for entrepreneurship ideas
-to empower young people
- to increase participants self - confidence and employability skills in order to be more competitive candidates in the labor market
- to give the opportunity to participants with fewer opportunities, facing economical, geographical, social obstacles, refugees, asylum seekers
and immigrants to learn new cultures, to be included in a group and improve their employability skills.
-to promote inclusion of people with disadvantaged backgrounds, including newly arrived migrants.
-to promote common European values, foster social integration, enhance intercultural understanding and a sense of belonging to the
community and to prevent violent radicalisation
- To promote Erasmus plus program and its outcomes - Youth pass and competences acquirement, support the network of NGO and
organizations active in the youth field

Methods:
- hands-on arts and crafts workshops led by experts (members of hosting organization or invited experts from the local community)
- workshops on entrepreneurship, business, tourism business,creativity, social inclusion led by local entrepreneurs,career advisors and leaders
of the participating organizations, presentation of good practices and question and answer session
- group discussions, reflections on environmental issues in each of our countries
- interactive game and exhibition in the village to promote interaction with the local community
- - intercultural evenings organized by each of the participating countries
- study visits to Handicraft center of Cyprus in Nicosia center
- role-play to simulate the business model and responsibilities
- ice-breaking games, energizers,group discussions, team-building activities and reflection sessions organized and coordinated by the partner
