The project aims to empower young people with the skills to critically evaluate information, fostering an informed and discerning mindset. In an era of widespread misinformation and disinformation, it supports shaping citizens who are media literate and capable of recognizing and challenging fake news. These skills are crucial for navigating the digital landscape and upholding the democratic values of the European Union.

The project also develops analytical and digital competencies within a global context. Through international exchanges, participants learn to adapt their approach to information, developing a nuanced understanding of how different media systems and cultural contexts influence the spread of news. The goal is to cultivate a generation capable of thoughtful information consumption and constructive online engagement, which is essential for strengthening intergenerational and intercultural understanding.

What We Will Learn:
Recognizing Disinformation and Fake News: You'll learn to identify false information, manipulation techniques, and propaganda, which will allow you to consume media more consciously.
Critical Thinking: You'll gain the tools to analyze and question information. You'll learn how to ask probing questions, verify sources, and evaluate the credibility of content.
Research Skills: You will practice searching for and comparing information from various sources, including official reports, academic studies, and independent media.
Digital Hygiene: You'll learn how to navigate the internet safely, protect your data, and avoid traps that can lead to the spread of misinformation.
Constructive Dialogue: You'll learn how to discuss controversial topics with respect and empathy, avoiding polarization and hate speech.
Hands-On Workshops: You'll participate in simulations that will allow you to put your new skills into practice by verifying information and detecting manipulation.
Cross-Cultural Perspectives: You'll collaborate with peers from different countries, which will help you understand how cultural differences influence media and the perception of information.
