Europe and the world have been on move for decades. For several years now, the violent
conflict in Syria caused many people to flee their homes, trying to find peaceful life in
Europe, leading to an increased number of refugees and asylum seekers. Along with this
refugee wave and the frequent terrorist attacks in Europe and media propaganda there was
fear generated among Europeans from newcomers which leads to intolerance, rejection and
even hatred and violence towards migrants and refugeеs. With every year agencies and
institutions dealing with human rights and in particular refugees are warning us about the
huge increase of negative attitude and zero level of acceptance of refugees from the vast
majority of Europeans.

Main objectives of the project:
- understanding migration processes from young people and discovering of benefits of
migration for Europe;
- promoting positive attitude, tolerance, solidarity and understanding towards refugees and
- discovering hate speech, its causes, roots and consequences by young people and realizing
the power of words as well as having the ability to distinguish it from freedom of expression
- raising awareness among young people that hate speech online can lead to physical harm,
violence and hate crimes;
- informing youth about ways and channels for reporting cases of hate speech online;
- informing young people how to effectively combat hate speech towards refugees in nonviolent
- promoting the No hate speech movement among young people;
- promoting tolerance, mutual understanding and dialogue between young people from
different nationalities, cultures and religions.

Participants will discuss the issue of migration, causes and consequences, emphasizing the
positive benefits for Europe. They will also discuss the reasons for hatred, what is hate
speech and how to differ it from freedom of speech, how to combat hate speech peacefully,
where and how to report cases of hate online. They will learn about NO hate speech
movement and its tools to combat hate speech. Young people will have the opportunity to
discuss major terms and concepts such as rights and liberties, migration, freedom of
movement, hate speech, justice, equality, human dignity, non-discrimination, democracy,
human rights, xenophobia and solidarity.

Young people will develop video and newspaper and use them to spread the message of the
project in their countries to raise awareness on positive sides of migration and to encourage
more understanding and solidarity towards refugees.
