Looking at the current situation with youth unemployment and the educations paths of young people, this project will take a look at the labour market from the perspective labour markets. At the moment most young people study something which they believe they will like, or that their parents have encouraged them to study and after their university they are simply another statistic behind the unemployment line. The idea is to create a blueprint of the correct procedures from education to employment allowing the young people to understand the labour market, its needs and how they need to conform to them, while still following their passions and likes in the employment fields.
The objective on the exchange is to give young people the tools to research and understand the labour markets so that they can make the correct educational choices so that they can fit into the labour market needs and thus empower young people with the knowledge and skills to overcome unemployment. We will also look at the skills of young people based on their education and soft skills as well and see how they can take these and increase their employability.
The main issues addressed in this project are the attitudes of young people with regard to their expectation from education and the educational facilities. We have discovered that many young people believe it is the responsibility of the facility, the system and even the government to prepare people for the labour market, thus showing a gap somewhere. We aim to look into this and see how the partners of this project can build connections between youth and the labour market while still involving educational institutions so that you can have a more successful flow of young people from education to the workplace.
