ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

Meet the Myths is a project which aims to help young people explore their cultural
identity and the cultural identity of their country. This will be achieved through workshops
combining myths with role playing and theater plays. These methods will help the myths to
become alive and „real“, making it easier for everyone to relate to them. One of the most
important learning methods will be learning by doing. Together we will try to discover the
similarities between participating countries by exploring their myths and legends. We want to
create an intercultural environment where the participants will feel safe enough to explain,
show and create myths together. Every myth and urban legend can send us a message and
teach us a valuable lesson.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
– Learn about myths from other countries
– Bring myths to life
– Discover similarities between participating countries

The exchange is going to take place on the island Hvar in the town Stari Grad (Old Town).
Hvar is the sunniest island in Croatia, with 349 sunny days in a year. It is the third biggest
island and it is situated near Split, which is the second biggest city in Croatia.

Participating countries: Croatia, Poland, Latvia, Romania, Spain, Greece and Italy
