ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

This youth exchange will bring together young people from different countries to explore the topic of human rights through the lens of disability awareness.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in inclusive and interactive workshops, simulations, and group discussions to better understand the daily barriers faced by people with disabilities and how these can lead to human rights violations.

The project aims to build empathy, awareness, and a deeper understanding of equality and inclusion in our societies.

Methodology:

Non-formal learning: Our participants engage in "learning by doing" through non-formal methods such as team-building activities, roleplaying exercises, discussions, etc. These hands on experiences enable them to enhance their social and interpersonal skills. By working together on the tasks or organizing workshops during the exchange, participants learn practical skills while building strong bonds with their peers.

Self awareness /self knowledge practices: Through the activities desinged to engage in a journey to self-knowledge, we will develop social and emotional skills, participants will gain insights into their own strengths and weaknesses, fostering personal growth and resilience

By the end of the exchange, participants will:
-Understand the basic principles of human rights and how they relate to disability.
-Identify different forms of exclusion and discrimination people with disabilities face.
-Reflect on their own role in creating inclusive communities.
-Develop communication, teamwork, and empathy through non-formal education methods.
