ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

The training course aims to develop participants' knowledge, skills and competencies on work with a diverse group of young
people. A special focus of the project will be on work with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, addressing the
migration crisis.
The training will help participants to acquire new and/or get additional knowledge regarding the issues of exclusion, inclusion
and non-formal education. In this context they will have the chance to analyse what their own role in creating social
exclusion/inclusion is or can be which will sensitise them for the importance for a more inclusive youth work. The project will
give the space to understand and discuss the specificity, problems and efficiency of working with mixed group of young
people. In this case, participants will recognise the problems and issues they can face when working with a mixed group and
learn the ways of reacting, behaving when put in such a situation.

Objectives of the project are:
● To involve the participants into understanding, discussing and confronting the issue of exclusion/inclusion of a wide range
of different (disadvantaged) groups of young people and work with inclusive (mixed) groups.

● To give to the participants the space to share their best practices in working with the young people with fewer
opportunities and with those who do not face situations and obstacles.

● To raise the understanding of the youth workers regarding the specificity, problems and efficiency of work with a mixedgroup.

● To understand the specificity, problems and efficiency of work with inclusive groups.

● To develop skills of the youth workers for working with a mixed group like the ability to transform and to adapt existing
non-formal methods based on the specificity of a certain mixed group.

● To develop new methods of working with a mixed group.

● To explore practical ways of reaching and involvement young migrants, refuges, asylum seekers and promoting
fundamental values of our society among them.

● To promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue and tolerance among the participants.
