ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
The general aim of the course is to help youth workers to be able to provide quality support to develop skills and competences in storytelling and journalism, explained by experts through alternative tools such as comics and digital resources.
The training is promoted by Xena Centro Scambi e dinamiche interculturali and from Associazione Ya Basta, located in Padova.
Objectives
- to give different tools to young people to express themselves
- to experiment methods which can be used to narrate youth reality
- to understand deeply and explore the worlds of comics and journalism
- to share experience, fears and doubts as well as good practices
- to empower ‘beginner’ youth workers to feel safe and competent, identifying the competences needed, encouraging self-evaluation and the revision of strengths and weaknesses and offering resources to support further professional development
- to connect participants and create a supporting network in different countries
- to promote the development of social cohesion, equality and empowerment
- to promote non-formal learning and cooperation in the field of youth with Partner Countries
- to improve achievements in inclusive education, addressing diversity in intercultural competences and media literacy, combating discrimination and segregation reducing disparities in learning outcomes affecting learners with disadvantaged backgrounds in particular through innovative integrated approaches.
- to give tools to participants for critical approach on topic as EU politics, asylum seek and on the topic of the refugees' crisis in Europe.
