ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

By implementing the project Building bridges for the future! We want to provide youth workers with practical skills for resolving a conflict, transforming it, understanding difference what is violence and what are its roots. In order to get the message to as many young people as possible, we will address youth workers over Europe to spread our message and to share the knowledge and insights we give them. We also invite people to share their experience, bring new and fresh ideas and help us continue our work in the future by adding more and more high quality work. We want to accomplish the following objectives:

1) to explore different explanations for the origins of human conflict;
2) to understand a general framework for analyzing and resolving conflict;
3) to bridge the gap between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’ so that participants can put the skills into practice in their work with youngsters;
4) to give young leaders practical workshops they can use to enable their target groups to examine their life through the lens of nonviolence, determining which of their thoughts, attitudes and behaviours are violent or harm living beings and the environment;
5) to demonstrate tools for analyzing inner and interpersonal conflicts in order to understand parties, needs and issues at stake;
6) to give participants knowledge how to distinguish and explain different ways e.g., approaches, methods of nonviolent communication;
7) to give them competences as planning, monitoring and evaluating peacebuilding activities; transforming conflict; implementing and organizing grass-root peacebuilding activities;
8) to present a simulation game as a method of active learning;
