ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
As the European Voluntary Service (EVS) has changed to European Solidarity Corps (ESC), we would like to
bring some new quality among the organizations who are dealing with EVS or ESC and to build new partnerships,
discussing the previous problems, changes and the challenges for the future.
The aim of the projects is to train a group of youth workers that can be the base for an increased cooperation
aiming to give young people international volunteering experiences.
Quality for ESC projects: This project is aiming to train youth workers that can promote Erasmus + and be in
charge of volunteering all over Europe. During this training the participants will get an in view in the nature of an
ESC projects and how to design one in term on from context, methods and administration. The participants have
upon application obliged themselves to be active in development of future projects and by nominating them, their
organizations have agreed to act as host and sending partner in future projects.
Objectives of the Project:
* to promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular: The project
is gathering problems ideas and visions from young people from ten very different countries in Europe and
partner countries of Europe. The partners are expecting that the project will show that if young people’s problems
are the same regardless of their community of living. The partners are hoping that the young people by seeing this
will reflect upon their own identity and realize that some volunteering problems require European solutions.
* to foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries: In the project, participation of
young people has been emphasized in all activities. This project consists of one training aiming to give youth
workers all around tools to manage ESC projects. The training will give the participants tools to design ESC
activities and projects, while the second will give them tool to implement and handle with critical situation. The
participants have, upon application obliged themselves to be active in development of future projects and be
nominating them, their organizations have agreed to act as host and sending partner in future projects.
* to empower participation of young people: In the project, participation of young people has been emphasized in
all activities. This project consists of one training aiming to give youth workers all around tools to manage ESC
projects. The training will give the participants tools to design ESC activities and projects, while the second will
give them tool to implement and handle with critical situation. The participants have, upon application obliged
themselves to be active in development of future projects and be nominating them, their organizations have
agreed to act as host and sending partner in future projects. The project has been based upon the experiences from
a previous project with same aims and same stricter.
* to support youth work in a European dimension. By bringing together 10 organizations from different countries
the project will offer real network opportunities that can create quality partnerships and strength the quality in the
field of ESC.
* to offer new innovative tools in order to face the new challenges in youth work such as self directed learning
method, volunteerism and employability, trainers and youth workers (in ESC) needed competences.
The youth workers on ESC projects need beside of the pedagogical tools, also special tools to:
Take active part of designing a program in the frame of Erasmus +
Design and implement activities that promote the intercultural understanding and integration
Design and implement al an “self learning dimension” in the activities
Design and monitor a program for participants security and protection
Take the activities viable
Resolve conflicts
