ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
In this time of environmental and social turbulence, increased by the current challenges of Covid-19, it is
a necessity to explore more conscious and empathic ways of relating to the natural world as a positive
step towards creating a healthy future.
The course is inspired by the three-fold principle of “Self, Soil and Society” which we practice at ASHA, in
addition to our holistic educational approach of learning through Head, Heart and Hands.
The course will examine the importance of our relationship to the natural world, from the early beginnings of
human societies until today. It will explore the enduring value of living in harmony with the rhythms,
processes, and special culture of the Earth.
We will look into the cultural and historical development of human societies and explore their relationship to
nature. This will be achieved by studying different philosophical and re-ligious concepts and their stance on
nature. We will tackle the problems and offer creative solutions to the biggest environmental challenges.
After a year of challenges when many of us have had little access to nature, we will immerse ourselves in
autumn’s beauty and experience the healing power of the natural world. Engaging with the forest which
surrounds ASHA, we will discover its gifts. We will do exercises to become receptive to its subtle energies that
resonate within and around us, leading eventually to possibilities of a deeper experience and communication
with nature.
We will look into way to work more harmoniously with nature with regard to farming and food production,
including on some hands-on experience on our four-acre bio-dynamic garden.
