ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

The 2nd youth exchange in "European Diversity Towards Unity And Integration" project associates 42 young people from Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Romania and Italy. Project focuses on cultural diversity. As far as this is a broad term participants will try to define it. We will try to find positive and negative sides of this phenomenon and raise young people's awareness concerning different cultures. Both part of the project associate young people from 6 countries: Poland, Croatia, Romania, Spain, Italy and Turkey. Our activities will be characterized by intercultural dimension. Participants will have the opportunity to develop skills of working in intercultural environment and become more open towards other nations. One of the project objectives is facing commonly known and mostly artificially created stereotypes and overcoming the notion of racism. National and theme evenings encouraging participants to integration will help us in reaching that aim. In order to encounter the issue of diversity from different perspectives we will spend the first part of the project on discussing the diversity from a cultural point of view. We will think how much of what we know and what we are comes from our culture. The next part of the project focuses on individuals and characteristics gained through non-cultural activities and experience. We want the participants to develop the attitudes of tolerance and mutual respect toward different nationalities. A touchable result of our work will be constituted by short movies concerning diversity, that participants will create themselves. For educational reasons we will place them in social media. During the project we want to focus on non-formal methods of education. We believe this is much more efficient way of acquiring knowledge and learning. It allows for remembering newly gained skills for longer and gaining them unconsciously. Methods that we are going to use in our work include: interactive workshops, Integrative games, simulations and many different.
