ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

The general purpose of our project is to contribute to young people's ability to produce effective, sustainable and innovative solutions to the problems they encounter in their local areas.
Surveys and reports show that active engagement of young people living in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Italy, Lithuania and Turkey is lower than the EU average. Another common problem of these countries is having a lower GDP per capita compared with the Northern European Countries. Hence young volunteers in this area cannot find appropiate and sustainable funding to their endeavours/initiatives. Eurobarometer survey shows that young people living in this countries also would like to participate volunteering activities and active engagements to contribute their local communities where they live.
In order the tackle the problems mentioned above, our project aims to contribute to capacity development of young people on the topics of active participation, citizenship, engagement, entrepreneurship, voluntariness in the society by encouraging and training them to be able to take initiative and/or a part in social sector organizations.
