ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
Our Youth Exchange project «Children’SOUL» with Partner Countries, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Greece and Turkey will be between 13-23 August 2014 in Trabzon/Turkey with 8 participants including the leaders from each country, totally 32 young people with fewer economic and educational opportunities aged between 18-30. One of the ultimate aims of this project is to establish a child library in Trabzon – Turkey where children do not have this kind of opportunity at all and educate parents, institutions etc. so that they can become more aware of some critical pedagogical developmental points. During the project, participants will try to prepare necessities of the library such as toys, games and voiced story records besides making official visits or various group activities. While conducting this project, we will benefit from the contribution of different cultures. Child development is clearly one of the important issues of every country. However, we still lack of enough opportunities for our children. That’s why in this project we will try to provide some necessary opportunities for some disadvantageous children. As it is an intercultural issue, the project includes intercultural objectives and related activities. The contribution of local/global corporation and institutions will make this project more functional and attainable. In addition, we want to develop both the personal and academic parts of participants with this project. To guarantee the feasibility and effectiveness of the project, we will frequently use written or oral feedback and evaluation forms. As to duration, the project will be for 9 days period of time. However, as we try to maintain the sustainability of the expected outputs, it might be a life-long project. Through videos, posters, etc. on social media, we aim to reach as many people and official/unofficial institutions, foundations or associations. To evaluate the overall success of the project, we base our evaluations on solid data like real outcomes, observations of the final day group activities and written forms and rubrics. At the end of the project, all partners receive a YouthPass certificate, which is undeniably useful as a CV supplement in job or academic applications.
