ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

With the 'EU (nited) for Active Citizenship' training course we want to strengthen our commitment to the common European idea and make the European Union more accessible. The training course will promote European citizenship, European awareness and participation and aim to enhance the skills of participants in these areas, focusing specifically on the structure and role of the EU institutions and decision-making processes within the EU. By participating in the training course, it is expected that youth workers can develop a positive attitude towards the EU or better articulate already positive attitudes with knowledge and competencies as an 'Active European Citizen' and bring them into their familiar environment. These mature European citizens will critically question the EU and be able to put constructive ideas into further development for a united Europe. Young people should develop an awareness of Europe and the European idea through the TC. Only when people are tolerant of their fellow human beings and respect each other, we can develop a future of peace and prosperity. If we appreciate cultural diversity, peaceful coexistence in Europe will continue to be possible. Active political participation is a way out of the crisis of confidence of the EU, especially in difficult times. The project will also have a huge impact on the participating organisations and their trainers. The acquired key competences, attitudes and attitudes, in general, strengthen the democratic consciousness of the participants and will, therefore, have positive effects on other levels, especially for the youngsters in their youth organisations. Youth workers are also expected to become politically active at local, regional and national levels (be it voter turnout, discussions, social engagement, participation in petitions). Participants are invited to apply the learned methods also in their local groups. There is an agreement between the partner organizations, which stipulates that all youth workers of the developed tool 'Modeling EU Parliament' conduct in their local organizations and share the materials. This gives the tool a great leverage effect and many more people get a good understanding of how the European Union works. We would like to make our project accessible to a wider circle of people. We want to share our work and will use different communication channels. Each partner will write a report on activities for the local media in their countries. Transparency not only forms accounts on social networks and the Internet but also uses communications with local media, youth information media and other relevant communication channels. Youth workers are encouraged to share the project's activities and learning outcomes with their friends and other people. Their creativity is also in demand, some youth workers write e.g. in their spare time blogs. The idea and the results of the training course should be spread as widely as possible.

Working Methods

● Learning by doing method.

● Ice-breakers and team building games to get to know each other. Workshops will leave room for moderated but controversial discussions.

● Simulation games will allow to identify current challenges of nonformal education and show possible measures that strengthen them. These sessions will provide the participants with concrete ideas that can be implemented in their local communities, thus ensuring an important multiplier effect.
